A variety of outdoor pursuits is available for the visitor. The eco-friendly children’s play area beside the beach is a magnet for children under 12. The Beach Walk on the edge of the golf course and Pollan Strand is highly popular with visitors and locals alike and is suitable for all ages. Other designated walks are graded in difficulty and are recommended for nature lovers with Bulbin, Rachtin and Binion in the background.

One of the most attractive walks is at Glenevin Waterfall which provides a safe path for visitors to reach the spectacular falls. Car parking is provided at Glen House. Doagh Island offers winter and summer attractions for all ages.

Fishing to suit all types of fishermen is available locally – beach fishing at Pollan Bay and Culdaff, rock fishing at Bunagee near Culdaff, sea angling boat hire at Bunagee, river fishing on the Crana and in local lakes.

Yachts can find a safe anchorage at Fahan marina or at Moville, Inch and Buncrana and Rathmullan. Divers will be spoiled for choice with dozen of sites within close reach of the coast out as far as Inistrahull. Horseriding is provided at Malin and Muff stables.

Bikes are available for hire in Ballyliffin and near Carndonagh.

For those with a love of theatre, the Cairn in Greencastle presents musical pageants in July and August, with traditional Irish music, song and dance.
