Festivals
The summer and autumn seasons provide a wealth of festivals in the north west. In the Ballyliffin area, the highlight is the Clonmany Festival in early August, with a feast of music, singing competitions, an agricultural show exhibiting livestock and produce from the local area and children’s events.
Clonmany and Ballyliffin host a traditional singing week-end in March. Carndonagh Agricultural Show in July profiles the best the Inishowen has to offer – cattle and sheep, horse competitions, and exhibitions of crafts, food and machinery.
Moville hosts a Bob Dylan Festival in July while Culdaff brings the local season to a close with music and drama in the Charles Macklin Autumn School.
County-wide, the Errigal Arts Festival brings international artists, musicians and theatre to the county in July. Ballyliffin is an excellent base for visitors who wish to participate in festivals throughout the county and in Derry City.
