With our event support, encouragement, scenery and spirit, Competitors will achieve goals that they never thought possible as they personally take it to the limits.

The Competitor -Extreme adventure requires guts, stamina and above all true grit and passion.

Setting the scene – Requires tough unforgiving landscape combined with picturesque countryside and beautiful coastline.

A Multi sport challenge involving 59k of Running, Biking, Kayak and Hiking.

Situated in the amazing landscape of North West Inishowen taking in Ballyliffin, Isle of Doagh, Clonmany, Urris and Mamore this is the most beautiful and challenging courses of this nature yet. If you think it’s just a touch too much for you then consider 2 of you completing the Relay.

The Challenge starts with a 10mile run, followed by 10m cycle, 1m kayak, 4m mountain climb and 11m cycle through Mamore Gap.
Contestants not familiar with the area will only have one question in their mind “Why has it taken to now to expose a natural playing field for their favourite sport.”

Harold McGuinness, founder of eXtreme North has completed over 25 Marathons, Himalayan 100 mile run, Mount Everest Marathon, numerous Charity cycles worldwide and in 2005 completed the infamous Marathon Des Sables. Recently he has completed the Connemarathon and Gaelforce North Events.

In my 15 years of competing in extreme sports the one thing that comes across loud and clear is that competitors are passionate about their sport, will not be giving up easily and are constantly looking for new challenges in which to test their skills of endurance. Believe me, Inishowen will not disappoint.
